We pay attention to sustainability both in the construction of our villa and in its ongoing operation. We mainly use natural materials and harness the power of renewable energies. With 3000 hours of sunshine per year, we are in a predestined location in Andalusia to be able to use solar power on a large scale. Our solar thermal system generates hot water and we produce our own electricity via a photovoltaic system. All light sources are equipped with the latest LED technology and the kitchen has particularly energy-saving appliances.
We pay attention to clear waste separation and produce our own compost, which is used to fertilize not only our numerous ornamental plants, but also the more than 60 newly planted fruit trees. In addition to the organic produce we grow ourselves, we receive excellent organic produce from an organic farmer in the immediate vicinity, which we use to create culinary delicacies for our guests.
In addition, we draw our water from two of our own springs, which we use for irrigation and as process water. We use a high-quality filter system to obtain our own drinking water, which we also make available to our guests free of charge. We are able to save significant amounts of water thanks to water-saving shower heads and conscious consumption. The gray water is purified in our own wastewater pit and then returned to the natural water cycle. This particularly benefits our plants throughout the property, which are intended to create their own microclimate.
