How to get to Ecovilla

The Ecovilla is located in Andalusia near the city of Malaga on the Costa del Sol. Both the airport (35km) and the tasteful city center of Malaga (25km) are 30 minutes away by car. If you like it sporty, you can also hire a bike from us and cycle along the promenade to Malaga (20km).

In the upper part of the pretty coastal town of Benajarafe, the Ecovilla is situated on a hill in a quiet location with wonderful sea and mountain views. Shops and restaurants can be found in the town center, which can be reached by car in 3 minutes or on foot in around 20 minutes (1.5 km). A wide and well-kept local beach invites you to linger, especially on hot days (1.5 km).

Rock-framed bays that are not overcrowded even in high season can be found in the Nerja region (30 minutes by car/35 km). There are also numerous white mountain villages with typical Andalusian charm that provide the perfect vacation backdrop.

For culture lovers, the historic cities of Andalusia offer numerous sights. These include the former Moorish city of Granada with its famous Alhambra (130 km), the picturesque mountain town of Ronda (130 km), the former caliphate of Córdoba with its unique Mezquita (180 km) and Seville, the capital of Andalusia, with the royal Alcázar (225 km).

From Malaga airport to Ecovilla, Benajarafe by car. Ecovilla coordinates:
36,7285554, -4,1924077 When leaving the airport, get into the left lane after the first traffic circle and drive towards Malaga on the N-340.
After about 3 km leave this highway and change to the A-7 towards Motril/Almería. Leave the A-7 coastal highway after about 25 km at the Benajarafe/Chilches exit and head towards the coast.
Get into the left-hand lane at the fork in the road and turn left (the coast is on your right). You will pass the village of Chilches and after another 3 km you will see a Cepsa petrol station on the left. The village of Benajarafe begins shortly after this petrol station.
Follow the coast road into the village and turn left before the “Hostal Esperanza”. Keep right at the fork and follow the road. The road leads uphill into the “Benajarafe Alto” district. Ignore the right and left turn-offs and follow the signs for “Ecovilla”. After the cemetery, take the second turning on the right (signposted “Ecovilla”). After a few meters, turn right before the cypress trees (signposted “Ecovilla”). Follow the road until it becomes a gravel path. Follow the gravel road, ignore the right fork and shift into first gear. At the fork, take the left fork steeply uphill
(wire mesh fence and house with blue roof frame are on the right).
Now follow the gravel path for about 200m until you reach our “Ecovilla”.
